Per the update, Health Canada inspectors were onsite at the West Kelowna project throughout a three-day period ended on February 15, 2018, in an effort to verify the information submitted by DOJA as part of its application and assess the company’s compliance with applicable sections of the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations. This milestone is particularly noteworthy as it coincides with Hiku subsidiary TS Brandco Holdings Inc. being conditionally awarded one of only four master retail licenses through Manitoba’s highly competitive request for proposal process for the right to operate retail cannabis stores in the province. Hiku notes that, with the license win in Manitoba, the company has increased its internal forecasts for retail demand related to its branded cannabis flower and oil, and, as a result, it has decided to accelerate the build-out of DOJA’s second facility in Kelowna, British Columbia.
