Free industrial hemp workshops will be held at the University of Missouri Extension during the month of December and January. Greg Luce, the Missouri University Extension agronomist, together with Joe Horner, an agricultural economist, will deliver a talk during the workshop on cultivating industrial hemp and how to budget for the crop. Missouri Releases 2020 Hemp Licensing Program

On December 4, the Department of Agriculture in Missouri announced that the registration process for industrial hemp cultivation during the 2020 planting season is open, and farmers can apply. Farmers who are interested in growing industrial hemp must first write an application, create land maps, and complete a fingerprint criminal history background check 30 days after submitting their request. Final Fill-able application and Originating Agency Identification (ORI) number required to complete the background check would be found on the Department's website starting from December 16. South Carolina Hemp Farmer Wins Round One Against SLED

John Pendarvis, a Dorchester County hemp farmer, has had one hell of a year. For a farmer who thought 2019 would be smooth sailing, he's had 10 acres of hemp seized from him and destroyed by state authorities, on top of spending a while in the slammer.
