The 26-year old Daniel Kruse has been chosen as the president of the European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA). Kruse is an expert in the hemp industry and the founder and CEO of Hempro International GmbH & Co. KG and HempConsult GmbH. The two companies are leading in the production of hemp in Europe.
On November 22, the association held its 27th annual general meeting where they elected Kruse to replace Mark Reinders. Reinders served as EIHA president for the past five years and is the current CEO of HempFlax, which is based in Holland. Reinders will continue serving as EIHA’s board member.
EIHA also elected two new board members. These are Jack Kramarz, the Director of Development at HempPoland, which produces CBD and is based in Poland, and Christophe Fevrier the General Manager at Hemp-It, which is a French seed breeder.
The two new board members were a replacement for Boris Banas of CBDepot in the Czech Republic and Philippe Heusele from Inter-Chanvre in France, as they had stepped down from the board. The EIHA board consists of seven members, Catherine Wilson of CannaWell, the UK, who serves as the vice president of EIHA, Bernd Frank of BaFa Neu GmBH, Germany, who serves as the association treasurer, and Rachele Invenizzi, the president of SouthHemp which is based in Italy.
Before his appointment, Kruse served as EIHA director since 2013. Before that, he served as the industrial hemp stakeholder in the European Union and Germany’s government, where he helped in advancing legal and regulatory frameworks in the hemp industry.
Kruse founded HempConsult in 2014 to assist farmers, shareholders, and consumers with advice on the hemp industry. The company helps in tracking trends and development in the hemp market internationally. HempConsult also conducts market research. Besides, it offers advice to entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, and other businesses in the industry. HempConsult shows them how to develop their goals, successfully implement, and uphold them.
Kruse is also a shareholder and advisor in several companies formed back in 2014, which include HANF FARM, MH Medical Hemp, and Hemp Factory. HANF FARM specializes in hemp cultivation, processing, and marketing of high-quality products across the globe. The company also specializes in hemp seed development, seed propagation, and consultation. MH Medical Hemp is active in the extraction of CBD. It also specializes in development, production, and worldwide marketing of cannabinoids and CBD-infused products. The company is in the process of being licensed to distribute medical marijuana. Kruse facilitated the expansion and relocation of HempFactory facilities back in 2017. HempFactory is a state-of-the-art, solar-powered facility that started hemp production in 2018 in Germany.
Experts see Kruse as a distinguished contributor in the hemp space and hemp industry players like MCTC Holdings Inc. (OTC: MCTC) and Green Hygienics Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: GRYN) are likely to have only praise for what he brings to the position to which he has been elected.
